Sometimes as I struggle to accept how our life is now, I descend into these pits, unable to rescue myself out of it in any way, shape, or form.  But God descends into the pit with me, struggles with me, holds me, comforts me, wooing my wounded and grieving spirit with such delicate words and touches of love until, little by little, my heart is calmed and He is able to lead me back out of the pit.  What gratitude I feel when this happens.  What a Hero He is to me, my Knight in Shining Armor, my Sustainer, my Rescuer, my Husband.

I lost my only child on August 10th. We celebrated her wonderful life yesterday. My family and friends created a warm and joyous day. My artist buddies assured me they intend to keep me busy. They will give me the structured time and permission to experience and make art, in spite of the numbness that is wafting over me this morning. You are included in that cavalry of knights in shining armor. Thank you for always encouraging and inspiring.
