Taraklamp Views
Twenty seven years later, after a lot of research, I decided to do the procedure myself. After all, most of the world doesn't circumcise in a surgical setting! I read about the Taraklamp method and although I could not seem to be able to find one to purchase and use, I understood the theory and process, so I made something similiar. So, I gathered the instruments, used aseptic technique and did my own circumcision. Now, I would not recommend this for everyone, especially if they have no medical training at all, but fortunately I do. Anyway, the results were quite impressive. There was very little pain, almost no bleeding, and it took about 1 month for complete healing. The scar is very even and about mid shaft when erect. I would say that I had what is called a loose circumcision, because there is some bunching of skin behind the glans. I am considering having a redo, especially if I can get a Taraklamp, so as to have a tighter circ.
