This 1993 (reissued in 2003) collection from Collectables is almost identical to The Best of the Hollies, Vol. 1, a 1988 EMI-Manhattan release. Like its predecessor, it sticks to a lean ten-song selection, including Bus Stop, On a Carousel, Carrie Ann, Pay You Back With Interest, and I Can't Let Go. It's also quite similar content-wise to Capitol's 2002 Classic Masters disc, which trumps it with 24-bit remastered sound. Since it's missing several definitive moments n— King Midas in Reverse, Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress, He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother, and so on — it's far from an essential overview.
