The GTO3501 has been engineered to ensure optimum power delivery into numerous impedances with low distortion. It comes outfitted with a variable 12dB per octave electronic crossover allowing you to optimize subwoofer tuning based on location and accompanying loudspeaker components. It also includes JBL's Dynamic Bass Optimization Circuit which provides variable filtering with adjustable Q below 100Hz. This circuit allows tuning of any enclosure to any vehicle. Full range preamp outputs are provided facilitating multiple amplifier hookups without the need for high-loss Y-adapters or signal splitters.
Should I fuse my speakers? JBL does not recommend fusing loudspeakers. A fuse may blow with a signal that would not damage the speaker, but it can also pass a signal that can damage the speaker. To protect your system, JBL advises using adequate, clean amplifier power and watch for amplifier clipping. Add a limiter to your system to electronically limit any potentially damaging transients. Some JBL Professional speaker systems include SonicGuarda™, a system that actively protects drivers from excess power.
